Westwood

westwood

Westwood is known for great public schools and is the home of UCLA. This charming, old-world community reflects the elegance of a lost art. Beautiful old Spanish homes, reminiscent of another era, sit alongside English Tudor and traditional architectural delights, providing a special hard-to-find ambiance for the neighborhood. Many of the one-story homes have been added to and lavishly remodeled, while many others have remained untouched, still maintaining the character of their early existence. Regardless, for some reason, everyone who lives in Westwood seems to have a tremendous pride of ownership. When visiting, one can see why one would never want to leave this comfortable, secure hamlet.

Westwood remains centrally located to the film business, the high-tech computer industry and the professional offices of Century City. The many doctors and lawyers who have made this their long-time residence, commute easily to work. Strolling the streets, it is common to see young couples with children on bikes, trikes, and skates. Just minutes from UCLA and some of the best shopping areas in the city, Westwood is very appealing to its many lifestyles and ethnicities.
